3. Learn to SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard)
Growing in popularity, this gentle adventure involves standing atop a surf-type board and propelling yourself through the water with a long paddle. Florida’s Adventure Coast waterways are perfect for stand up paddleboarders. From standing height, glide down the Weeki Wachee or Mud Rivers watching for wildlife like manatee, otters, bald eagles and more. Take a lesson from SUPWeeki and master the easy balance technique that makes this sport so enjoyable. Feel your pulse race as you learn to throttle up on a dirt bike. Whether a child or an adult, learn safe and fun dirt bike operation from professional instructors in a three acre facility. Choose one, two or three hour training sessions and be ready to power through miles of trails at the nearby Croom Motorcycle Area in the Withlacoochee State Forest.
5. Learn to land your catch with a fly
Sure, you’ve been fishing before but have you ever tried the artful fly fishing technique? Learn the proper way to loft the specially weighted line and weightless lure combination. 6. Learn to Navigate the Treetops
TreeUmph! Adventure Course promises “The ground is overrated.” This sprawling 50 acre park just 10 minutes from I-75 includes over 130 different obstacles. Adventurers of all ages and skill levels can learn to navigate a variety of wobbly bridges, hanging nets and exhilarating zip-lines. New and exclusive to TreeUmph! Brooksville, is the Little Ninja Course for ages five through eight.

The Weeki Wachee Springs State Park Sirens of the Deep Mermaid Camp can be a dream come true. Share the unique experience of being an underwater performer with others from around the country who share your passion. Learn underwater ballet moves from current and former Mermaids as they show you how to swim gracefully with a tail. Spend a weekend with them and learn what the Mermaid life is like.

9. Tour Chinsegut Hill Museum
Visit the historic manor house and estate that once welcomed the likes of Thomas Edison, Helen Keller, Henry Ford and others. The estate is open daily for guided tours. Beautifully restored with authentic furnishings and artifacts, this enduring landmark is listed on the U.S. National Registry of Historic Places.

They are happy to accommodate you or your group by taking care of all details such as fishing licenses, bait and tackle. 13. Take a Day Hike on the Florida Trail
This 1,400 mile statewide trail is a National Scenic Trail, one of eleven designated National Scenic Trails in the United States. Traversing the state from the Everglades to Pensacola Beach, the FT includes Cypress Lakes Preserve on Florida’s Adventure Coast. Perfect for a day hike, this 1.7 mile segment through one of Hernando County’s Environmentally Sensitive Lands is classified as an easy hike and reveals the beauty of uncommon wildflowers, Cypress-rimmed lakes and a quiet natural area. 15. Go Scallop Diving
Find out why this summertime adventure is so eagerly anticipated. Florida Bay Scallops are easy to catch, once spotted. Searching the clear, shallow water for these camoflaged mollusks is often compared to an underwater Easter egg hunt. Florida's Adventure Coast marks the southern border of the Florida's Bay Scallop harvest zone. A great way to enjoy the experience is by booking a charter. Look for Scalloping under Water Adventures.
