In Fall 2017, the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area (WMA), managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, debuted a new entrance and check station. South of its former location, the new entrance is across from Centralia Road.
In addition to hunter information and support, the station is accessible with parking and a ramp into the building. The entrance also features permanent restrooms, a covered picnic area and signage explaining area ecology and history.
Plan a driving, hunting, cycling, hiking or bird-watching visit to this sprawling 34,597-acre wild area soon. Learn more about recreation in the Chassahowitzka WMA.
