Start your girlfriend's getaway with a scenic tour of Chinsegut Hill Museum and the surrounding grounds. Dating back to the 1840s, the manor home hosted Thomas Edison, Jane Adams, Helen Keller, J.C. Penney and other historic figures.

Main Street Eatery

After touring Chinsegut, stop for lunch at the Main Street Eatery. 

Downtown Brooksville
Explore antique shops, boutiques and the Uptown Gallery. On the east side of downtown are even more interesting shops, including Roger's Christmas House and Peace Tree Trading Post.

Tour a certified Florida Farm Winery, which has grown four carefully chosen grape varieties from which all their wines are created. Southern Fraise and Apple Blossom and Rose' wines were awarded Double Gold and Best of Show, Silver and Bronze medals in the 2017 International Wine Tasting and Judging Competition.

No Girlfriends Getaway is complete without seeing the famous Weeki Wachee Springs Mermaids! The underwater performances at this classic attraction have enchanted visitors since they first began in 1947.

Who doesn't love mermaids, or wish they could be one? Weeki Wachee now offers a Mermaid Camp, for women over the age of 30 who can train and see what it is like to be one of the mermaids! Follow Weeki Wachee Springs State Park on Facebook to receive notice of when these camps open, because they fill up quickly!
