Sample Spring's Harvests on Florida's Adventure Coast

April is a popular time to cruise the blooming countryside and taste what only fresh-picked and locally-crafted can offer. Plan a blueberry and beverage tour of Florida’s Adventure Coast.

Download a handy U-Pick and Farm Tours brochure and make your plans. Check out the map to see which of the eight blueberry farms best fits your route and mood. You might even consider visiting more than one, indulging in a leisurely downtown Brooksville lunch between harvests at the Rising Sun Bistro & Market, Little Lady Café or Main Street Eatery. Be sure to call ahead to make sure the farms are open.

Free and for the first time ever, plan to attend the Brooksville Blueberry Festival on April 28 and 29. Touted as the best little festival in Florida, it has a great line-up of musical performances, a Kid Zone and loads of local blueberry treats.

Another type of local harvest yields wine, craft beer and even moonshine. Our wineries are Florida Farm Certified and so is NJoy Spirits, home of Wild Buck Rye Whiskey and Mermaid Rum. Now open for tours, be sure to allow time for a scenic drive through the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area to see first-hand how the NJoy Spirits distillery works.

And, now joining Marker 48 Craft Brewery is Tidal Brewing Company, a brand-new craft brewer. Florida’s Adventure Coast is also home to Copperhead’s Southern Distillery, makers of flavored Moonshine.
